Blood lead data
The percentage of children tested for high blood lead levels, available for all 87 Minnesota counties from 1995 to the present. Click on the Minnesota Blood Lead Surveillance Data Tables.

Child abuse and neglect
In-depth statistics on child maltreatment, out of home care and adoption from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Data from 2002 to the present available by county, race and gender. Click on "Minnesota's Child Welfare Reports".

Child Care Assistance Program wait list
Monthly update about the number of eligible families waiting to access Minnesota's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP, Basic Sliding Fee) at the county level. Produced by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, which administers the program.

Children with Special Health Care Needs
Annual data available for all Minnesota counties about children with special health care needs, young children receiving Early Intervention Services, and children eligible for SSI or TEFRA due to disability status. Click on County Health Tables, then on Children With Special Health Needs.

Cost of child care
Resources for Child Caring provides average weekly rates for licensed family and center-based daycares for the Twin Cities 7-county region. Use rate charts to estimate the current cost of full-time day care for infant, toddler, preschool or school-age child.

Early childhood worker wages
The Bureau of Labor Statistics provides estimated mean hourly and annual wages for child care workers, pre-school teachers, kindergarten teachers and early childhood program administrators for the Twin Cities 13-county metropolitan area. Immunization coverage for children (by age 2)
View the MIIC statistics to find out what percentage of Minnesota 2-year-olds receive basic childhood immunization coverage. Data available by county. Additional statistics on childhood immunization rates also available.

Prenatal care
Percentage of Minnesota women who received "adequate or better" prenatal care during the first trimester of pregnancy. Data available for all 87 Minnesota counties from 1996 to the present through Minnesota County Health Tables. Click on the year of interest and then click on the section titled "Natality".

Kids Count Data Center
Contains state- and city-level data for more than 100 measures of child well-being. Can generate custom reports, maps, and line graphs. Data available annually for Minnesota as a whole and Minneapolis beginning in 1990 for some indicators and since 2000 for most indicators. Click on "Profiles by geographic area" to begin.
