Crime rate
Crime rates give us a quick read on the safety of our community. Although not all crimes are reported to the police, reported crime can be a good indicator of the amount and types of crime that are being committed. When compared to the victimization rate, it can also provide some indication of the percentage of crime that goes unreported.
