Describe the work you do and how you use data in your work. 

So that residents and businesses have a safe place that they’re proud to call home, our team provides thoughtful public service solutions. With efficiency, efficacy, and empathy in mind, we actively engage with the department, enterprise, stakeholders, or community to solve problems in innovative ways. Hallmarks of our work are leveraging technology to provide, up-to-date data publicly through the city’s website. This includes data on rental licenses, housing & fire code violations, snow emergencies, and active chicken and honeybee permits.

How do you use Minnesota Compass resources in your work? 

Minneapolis has over 80 individual neighborhoods. Our work with rental licensing inspections, Minneapolis animal care and control, and traffic compliance and code enforcement touches every neighborhood every day.
